Ruminations from 3122022

The book we were meant to discuss was Ikigai  . It soon went into the habits that lead to Ikigai .  Namita focussed on the 10 steps and rules of Ikigai she read about and how she is trying to adapt them into her life. We also spoke about the four circles which make up the Venn diagrams of Ikigai . The focus moved from internal and external components and challenges of discovering oneself and discovering what we enjoy doing . These  are both critical internal components of ikigai. We also spoke about the history of this coming in from Okinawa. Just like the discussion we had on Jonathan Livingstones Seagull  , this started going through multiple subjects and reading habits and how we are keeping ourseleves active and the things we can do to stay positive. ...and trying to find our Ikigai

Some of the ideas we connected on are as follows

  • Braingym,  how synapses are activated and fired as we do simple tasks , not necessarily intense exercises  Was connected and discussed
  • Finding the challenges of doing things that keep us content and doing this
  • The challenges of finding hobbies that fire us up as we move through life stages
  • Way of expressing gratitude and connecting this with Reiki
  • The necessity of doing things for confidence

The next session - Date to be determined
